The new collection of graphic novels from Legendary Comics Pacific Rim: Ultimate Omnibus, is on sale now, further expanding the epic mythology based on Legendary Entertainment and Guillermo del Toro’s blockbuster movie franchise. For the very first time, the Pacific Rim: Ultimate Omnibus gather New York Times no longer sold Pacific Rim: Tales from Year 0 (presented by Guillermo Del Toro and written by Pacific Rim screenwriter Travis Beacham) alongside Pacific Rim: Tales of the Drift (written by Joshua Fialkov), Pacific Rim: Aftermath, Rim of the Pacific: Amara (both from Cavan Scott), and the new Pacific Rim: Power Outage in a luxury omnibus collection.

In 2013, Legendary Entertainment and Warner Brother’s Pacific Rim impacted in theaters bringing giant robots and giant monsters to life like they’ve never been seen before. Legendary Comics developed the mythology of this universe with Pacific Rim: Tales from Year 0a prequel graphic novel presented by Guillermo del Toro and written by screenwriter Pac Rim Travis Beacham and a stellar art team consisting of Sean Chen, Yvel Counter, Pericles Junior, Chris Batistaand Geoff Shaw. The rich universe and mythology that had been imagined by the filmmakers and Legendary left behind a universe of stories that could be told.

Pacific Rim: Tales of the Drift arrived again in 2015 from Beacham screenwriter and TV writer/comic book creator Joshua Fialkov and the artistic team of Marcos Marz and Marcello Miaolo. This story of a couple of pilots bonded by marriage and drift brought a new level of drama to the action.

In 2018, a second film, Pacific Uprisingdropped and with a new set of characters, Jaegers and Kaiju. Cavan Scott (Star Wars High Republic) took the reins and crafted a tale that featured the return of fan favorite Hannibal Chau and showed what happened between the two films in Aftermath of Pacific Rim.

Both Cavan and writer Zhang ran and artist BigN team up for Rim of the Pacific: Amarawhich depicts the backstory of one of Uprising’s new characters in an anime style.

Last month, Pacific Rim: Power Outage allowed readers to revisit the world of Netflix’s original animated series Pacific Rim: The Black in an all-new prequel adventure from Cavan Scott and artist Nelson Dániel and featuring fan-favorite character Herc Hansen. The PPDC Ranger returns as a world-weary Jaeger pilot drawn into battle as an influx of kaiju threatens to destroy the continent of Australia and all its inhabitants. Along with his niece Olivia, co-pilot Cooper, and Marshal Rask, Herc faces an all-new kaiju of epic proportions while battling his own inner demons.

And, now for the very first timeLegendary Comics is proud to bring together all Pacific Rim graphic novels in an oversized 568-page hardcover collection that showcases the vast array of Pacific Rim universe.

Steven S. DeKnight is set to direct Legendary’s PACIFIC RIM 2 (Pacific Rim), the sequel to the epic action-adventure Guillermo del Toro created alongside the 2013 hit original film, with a screenplay written by Zak Penn, Jon Spaights and del Toro. The producers are Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, del Toro, Mary Parent and Callum Greene. Jillian Share will executive produce. Universal Pictures will release the film worldwide in 3D.

Directed by Steven S. DeKnight, the release date of Pacific Rim Uprising is March 23, 2018.
