Tickets on sale for the annual Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Seguin-Guadalupe County Awards Banquet

The event will include food, a raffle and live musical entertainment

(Seguin) – Tickets are still available for the annual Seguin-Guadalupe County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet. The event is scheduled for Wednesday evening at the Colisée Seguin.

Gloria Sasser, the publicity chair for the event, says that after two years, the chamber is grateful to be able to host recognition night again.

“This is certainly our 33rd annual awards banquet where we honor community members who have provided community service. We have several awards, our community service, academy merit award, corporate, community service, youth leadership so just to honor some community members who are active in our community and certainly improving life in Seguin,” Sasser said.

Sasser says that not only will the evening include an awards show, but it will also feature live musical entertainment.

“We have an exciting entertainment program. Carlitos Miranda, who is a Tejano artist, will perform with the famous Seguin High School Mariachi Matadors. ) and Julian Avares of the Texas Workforce Commission. They will present an interesting program and we are really happy to see that. Mayor (Donna) Dodgen will welcome everyone. So, it should be a very exciting and interesting program. I think people will enjoy the presentation,” Sasser said.

Sasser says the chamber, in conjunction with the banquet, will also announce the winners of its annual raffle. Winning tickets will be announced Wednesday at 7 p.m.

“First prize is a Bersa gun, then there are a few guns, then a Yeti cooler and Nair Bar gift vouchers – there’s one, two, three baskets of liquor and wine, a portable tabletop grill , a Home gift card and a pressure cooker and probably also a Dallas Cowboys baseball cap, shirt and memorabilia,” Sasser said.

Tickets for the 11 prize raffle are still available. Individuals do not need to be present to win. Raffle tickets are $10 each or three for $25.

The banquet begins with a social hour from 6-7 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m.

Banquet tickets including a meal cost $40 each. Banquet and raffle tickets can be purchased in advance at the Hispanic Chamber office between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. However, before proceeding, individuals are asked to call and secure their tickets at 830-372-3151. The office is located at 971 W. Court St. A limited number of banquet tickets will be sold at the door.
