Sunshine Sachs promotes Keleigh Thomas Morgan and Heather Lylis, renames company – The Hollywood Reporter
Advertising company Sunshine Sachs generates its own news.
Current partners Keleigh Thomas Morgan and Heather Lylis were promoted to co-chairmen of the company and the company was renamed Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis in the process. The news was confirmed today in a letter distributed to staff by Founder Ken Sunshine and CEO Shawn Sachs.
“Heather and Keleigh have helped lead the agency to new heights. During their time here, they helped grow the agency from a small public relations firm of less than 10 people to a full-service consulting firm with more than 250 employees and offices in New York, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, Atlanta, Austin and San Francisco,” the couple detailed in their joint announcement. “Their leadership has always been invaluable, but especially during the pandemic, when they have helped guide our team and our customers through a very uncertain time. And, as we look to the future (hopefully free of the pandemic), we know that we are strengthened by their point of view and their vision.
The promotions and moniker change come as Sunshine Sachs prepared to toast a 30-year anniversary. He had consistent leadership over the three decades with Sunshine at the helm and Sachs on board in 2001. Lylis joined soon after, in 2003, with Morgan over 15 years ago.
Morgan led the company’s West Coast operations as general manager. With partners, Morgan has worked to expand the business from traditional public relations to a diverse one-stop shop that offers integrated campaigns, media relations, talent onboarding, creative, sponsorship and events. . She represents a long list of acclaimed talent and filmmakers, feature and documentary, non-profit, corporate and lifestyle clients, including Salma Hayek, Jane Fonda, Natalie Portman and Tyler Perry.
Morgan is a Fellow of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences and serves on the Entertainment Leadership Council at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She is also an advisor to start-ups and brands, including 13 Lune and Powered Brands. Prior to Sunshine Sachs, the Boston College grad worked for Miramax Films and Nike Communications, a luxury goods PR firm.
Since 2003, Lylis has played a key role in the growth of Sunshine Sachs, helping scale the company to over 250 employees across the United States. Also in collaboration with partners, she helps shape the strategic direction of the organization by directing and overseeing operational activities, including the introduction and implementation of processes and systems as well as a focus on talent acquisition, training and development. His extracurricular activities include serving on the board of the Sasamani Foundation, an organization focused on creating sustainable education and employment programs to break the cycle of poverty in East Africa. Prior to Sunshine Sachs, the Northwestern University graduate worked at Solomon McCown & Co.
