In addition to its site in Hebburn, the company has offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Teesside and Leeds and a total of 134 employees.

Andrew Dawson, Managing Director of Castle Building Services, said: “A warm welcome to all of our new colleagues.

“Our recruitment process has been rigorous as we want to ensure that all new starters are the right fit for the company and that they, in turn, feel that they will be fully supported and developed.

“In addition to providing our clients with a full range of mechanical, electrical and pre-construction services, we also offer specialist fit-up and prime contractor services, as evidenced by our appointment as prime contractor for the £68 million state-of-the-art PragmatIC Park, Durham.

He added: “We have very ambitious strategic growth plans and will unveil more new hires in the coming months.

“The past two years have seen many businesses, including ourselves, in uncharted territory due to the pandemic and the focus is now on stability and sustained growth.”

Last year the company had a turnover of £30 million and is one of the UK’s leading providers of construction services, offering a wide range of engineering and sub -contracting covering all aspects of construction, mechanics, public health, renewable and electrical engineering.

Ian Dunn said: “I come to Castle Building Services with 20 years’ experience in the construction industry and have previously held various management positions.

“This is an exciting opportunity for me as the company moves forward with project delivery plans as a prime contractor.

“My role will involve all aspects of the construction activity, from planning, managing, monitoring and coordinating the entire construction phase.”
