Saudi Arabia signs framework agreement with Korean company to enrich cultural sector

SEOUL — The Saudi Ministry of Culture on Thursday signed a framework cooperation agreement with Korean firm CJENM Ltd. to enrich the cultural sector of the Kingdom.

The signing took place in the presence of Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture.

The ministry was represented at the signing by Deputy Culture Minister Hamed bin Mohammed Fayez, while the Korean company was represented by its CEO, Sung Kang.

The agreement provides for the formulation of a framework for joint cooperation in the sectors of cinema, music and cultural events. In addition, the two sides will explore the possibilities of cooperation in various cultural projects, including film and musical activities and cultural centers that present elements of Saudi and Korean heritage in the fields of music, art, gastronomy , theatrical arts, heritage, film and architecture.

The signing of the agreement took place during the official visit of Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Saudi Minister of Culture, to the Republic of Korea, with the aim of strengthening cooperation with Korean cultural authorities and discussing ways to develop them.

The agreement is part of the efforts led by the Saudi Ministry of Culture to develop the cultural sector in the Kingdom and enrich it with successful global experiences and expertise in various cultural fields, support and empower creators.
