Reston Art Gallery and Studios presents Sandra Dovberg: “At the water’s edge”

‘By the Water’, an exhibition of acrylic paintings and more by Sandra Dovberg, focuses on where land meets water, from ocean beaches to ponds. From August 5 to 29, this featured exhibit at the Reston Art Gallery and Studios (RAGS) features Dovberg’s fascinating jellyfish wall hangings from his Cnidarian series. Dovberg’s original and unique works reveal his unique perspective and serious craftsmanship in a range of imaginative art and jewelry, as well as his paintings of outdoor scenes, still lifes and abstractions. “The fun is in the action,” she says. “The most important pieces I work on are the ones in progress and the dream of the future. ”

“By the Water” is open to the public until August on weekends from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Saturday and 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday at the Reston Art Gallery and Studios, Lakeside, 11400 Washington Plaza West , Reston, VA 20190, at the historic Lake Anne Plaza. While watching the show, visitors can also enjoy the works presented by the eight artists of RAGS, as well as the scenery of the lakeside setting. The gallery is located a short walk from the Lake Anne Saturday Morning Farmer’s Market and is also open during the free Take a Break concerts in the square on Thursday evenings. Dovberg’s exhibition follows the “Art in Motion” exhibition of finely crafted mobiles by Wayne Schiffelbein, from July 1 to August 1. event presented by former US Ambassador to Nepal Scott DeLisi.
