QC Farmers Market Guide: Where and when to buy local this summer

Here’s a list of where to buy local produce, crafts and more this summer in the Quad Cities.

Whether you go for the fresh produce, homemade baked goods, or artisan crafts, farmers markets are a great opportunity to buy local and support farmers, artists, and small business owners in the community.

Here’s where to shop this market season in the Quad Cities area:

Bettendorf Farmer’s Market: The market is open from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays from May to October at 2850 18th St. in Bettendorf.

Davenport Farmer’s Market: The market is open from 8 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays and Saturdays at the east entrance of NorthPark Mall in Davenport.

Freight House Farmers Market: The outdoor market is open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday starting May 7 at 421 West River Drive in Davenport.

Mercado on Fifth: The market is open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays from May 27 to September 30 on 5th Avenue and 12th Street in Moline.

Morrison Farmer’s Market: The market is open from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturdays from June 1 to September 28 at French Creek Park in Morrison.

Muscatine Region Farmer’s Market: The market is open from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. every Saturday from May to October at the corner of 3rd and Cedar streets in Muscatine.

Quebec Farmers Market: Shop online at the market website until 9 p.m. Thursdays and pick up your order 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays at Schwiebert Park in Rock Island.

Quad Cities Farmers Markets: The East Moline Market runs from 8 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays and Saturdays in the Skate City parking lot at 1112 Avenue of the Cities. The Moline Market runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at SouthPark Mall, 4500 16th St.

Twin Town Farmer’s Market: The covered market is open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays at 106 Avenue A in Sterling.
