Sam said: “We have been open since March 12, the first day we opened, it was a good day. Lots of people got off.

“I think with the shop we’re not expensive, it’s not like you spend as much as when you go to a restaurant.

“I think people are always going to buy candy, especially if you have kids, we’re affordable so that helps.

“It’s for everyone because in our store we want everyone to be able to buy something, whether they have a lot of money or no money. We have the options for everyone.

Sam, runs another business, an Aspire goalkeeper academy with another business partner in Hull and also works with Hull City Academy with other aspiring football players.

Despite handling many plates, Sam, from Hull, says he’s trying to “build an empire”, giving his all in his endeavors.

However, this is Fidel’s first venture. The 30-year-old from Leeds says there are more than 2,000 products on offer to customers.

The father-of-three said: “We have pick and mix, American candy – a huge variation of candy. Drinks from around the world, chewable treats. We create our own pick and mix bags.

“We will be creating our own homemade milkshakes in different flavors, hopefully in the summer we will be doing Tango Ice Blasts.”
