Hugh Jackman has put his incredible New York apartment up for sale.

The West Village five-bedroom ‘triple’ just hit the market for $38.9 million (A$56.1 million).

The seven-bathroom block boasts over 1,020 sq. ft. of floor space and boasts stunning views of the nearby Hudson River and the city itself. Jackman has owned the home since 2008, when he paid $21 million.

The intriguing house was designed by renowned architect Richard Meier, who made a name for himself with a series of projects, including the Getty Center in Los Angeles.

Meier designed the building at 176 Perry St and also personally designed Jackman’s apartment.

“He had done the interior of the apartment for the previous owner,” Deborah Grubman, who shares the listing with fellow Corcoran brokers David Adler and Paul Albano, told the New York Post.

The unit has been updated over the years, but Meier’s touch undoubtedly makes it “a little more unique and special”, and the views are “stunning”, added Grubman.

Through its floor-to-ceiling windows, the apartment overlooks the Hudson River and the New York skyline.

“I’m particularly fond of this view from the west, where you can see the sunsets, the Statue of Liberty, the river and the moving boats. It’s a constantly changing view,” said Grubman.

The unit spans the eighth, ninth and 10th floors of the building.

On the eighth floor there is a huge hobby room and four bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, plus a guest bedroom with a shower room.

On the ninth, there is the double-height great room, as well as a home office with a gas fireplace, the kitchen and a dining area.

The 10th floor is dedicated to the master bedroom and its spa-like bath, dressing rooms and a sauna, as well as an exercise area. Each floor has a terrace and they are all connected by a spiral staircase.

New York City has seen a post-Covid real estate revival, with Jackman’s pad joining a number of high-end listings hitting the market this year.

“A truly breathtaking work of art in its own right!” the list reads.

Jackman is currently starring in the Broadway production The Music Man.
