Bidding for NFTs of the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup in Planica has started

For this year’s FIS Ski Jumping World Cup Final in Planica, OC has prepared an exclusive and limited collection of unique hand-drawn portraits of the world’s best ski jumpers bringing together ski jumping fans and NFT fanatics around the world.

Planica has always been a place of historical events and this year it will be no different. Fans won’t just be watching, cheering and celebrating, they can now easily become part of our great ski jumping sport community.

It is the first project of its kind in collaboration with the International Ski Federation and is entirely the fruit of Slovenian ideas, knowledge and implementation.

One week earlier before the official start of Planica, from March 18 until the end of the competition, everyone will be able to participate and bid for the digital works: the PLANICA NFT SKI JUMPING COLLECTION 2022. NFTs are an exceptional collectible opportunity for avid sports enthusiasts who will want a one-of-a-kind piece from our Planica 2022 collection.

The project creators aim with the collections to help the sport and to give something back to the athletes. All funds raised from the auction will be donated to sport – 33% directly to the athletes as rewards, 33% to their national ski associations for the development of young talent and 33% to the Planica Organizing Committee for sports development.

To date, more than 50 illustrations of athletes have been collected in the collection.

What are NFT collectibles?

Non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, are the latest cryptocurrency phenomenon to go mainstream. Simply put, NFTs turn digital artworks and other collectibles into unique, verifiable assets that are easy to trade on the blockchain. NFTs are unique and not interchangeable, meaning no two NFTs are the same.
