The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum is pleased to announce the return of its biennial “secret” art sale, Aldrich infiltrated.
For 2021, Aldrich infiltrated has been redesigned as a virtual event with live musical performances and an online art sale. More than 100 former artists will contribute to the sale of original 9 x 12 inch works of art in any media of their choice to benefit the Museum. All works are priced at $ 350 and sold anonymously, the identity of the artists is not revealed until after purchase. Guests are encouraged to trust their instincts, follow their hearts, and make choices based on how the works affect them.
Aldrich infiltrated will take place online May 6-9, 2021. Tickets are required to access the sale and can be purchased at thealdrich.org.
The event will start with Aldrich Undercover Blankets, an online pre-sale launch party hosted on Zoom on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m., featuring contemporary artists ranging from art to music and performing covers of popular songs! Musical artists include Roz Chast, Michelle Segre and Steve DiBenedetto, and B. Wurtz. The online art sale will follow the musical performances, opening at 7:50 p.m. for VIP ticket holders and 8:00 p.m. for Patron and General ticket holders. Holders of VIP tickets and Patrons will have the opportunity to preview the works of the sale on Wednesday May 5, a first in Aldrich infiltrated the story. All ticket levels will have full access to the virtual launch party, the Aldrich Undercover Blankets performances and art sales.
In addition to Aldrich infiltrated “Secret” Art Sale, artists Bryan Nash Gill (1961-2013), Harmony Hammond, Andy Mister and Hayal Pozanti each contributed to important works to be offered for sale. These works are not part of the all-inclusive sale of $ 350.
All proceeds go to The Aldrich’s vibrant exhibits and educational programs. As a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, the Museum relies on the support of fundraisers such as Aldrich infiltrated. The Aldrich has been deeply affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, having had to postpone exhibitions and cancel public programs on site. To support the Museum in these uncertain times, the alumni artists have responded enthusiastically to our request to create works for Aldrich infiltrated.
