A real estate company challenges Fran fans

OAK ISLAND, NC (WECT) – One of the most successful real estate companies in the Oak Island/Southport area is issuing a challenge to other real estate companies. Margaret Rudd Realtors is asking all real estate companies in the area to match or beat the number of fans they have collected for Fran’s Fans.

“We’re up to 233 fans for Fran’s Fans,” says Michael Boswell, agent at Margaret Rudd Realtors. “So we’d like to challenge our other fellow Oak Island and Southport realtors and real estate companies to participate and see if we can’t make Southport/Oak Island Fran’s fan-sold store this year. in 2022.”

There are five participating Lowe’s Home Improvement stores. Those interested in donating ventilators to Fran’s Fans can simply go to one of these locations, purchase ventilators, and leave them for distribution to senior centers in five counties.

Locations include Lowe’s in Surf City in Pender County, Lowe’s in Southport/Oak Island in Brunswick County, University Center Lowe’s in Wilmington, Lowe’s in Monkey Junction in Wilmington, and Lowe’s in Porter’s Neck in Wilmington.

“Oh, I think we have fierce competition there,” Boswell said. “I think REMAX with Robert Carol should be able to snag some agents and write checks for some fans. I think Art Skipper, Kim Anderson, if you’re listening, here’s your chance. Jump into the fray and show us what you got.

Last year, more than 1,500 fans were donated for Fran’s Fans. It may be hard to beat this year. But Bosewell is confident other real estate companies will pitch in and buy fans.

On Tuesday, more than 550 fans were donated between the five stores. The fundraising campaign will continue on Wednesday.
