The White Book of Llareggub

Keith says, ‘Many will only regard these paintings as abstract, but they evolve directly from the environment in or around Laugharne, using reminiscences and present day observations.

The White Book holds folklore and tradition from the fictional village of Llareggub where Dylan Thomas set Under Milk Wood, his ‘play for voices’. Mentioned several times, this magical ancient book is updated by every generation. “In the warm White Book of Llareggub you will find the little maps of the islands of their contentment.”

This exhibition explores the fictional setting beyond Under Milk Wood within the Township of Laugharne. These paintings are my contribution to the White Book.'
